WFH Dressing Up Tips!

Working from home has been the norm for most of us with Covid-19 still prevalent in the world today. With work and home being the same place, how do you make sure that you remain productive and presentable at the same time?

Here are some tips and tricks for you! Whether it is just working from home, attending meetings or interviews, we got your back!

Do not work in your pyjamas! Start your day fresh by changing your clothes and washing your face. This will make you feel more ready for work as the change of clothes gives you a change of environment. If you work in your pyjamas, you may feel more lethargic and unmotivated as it still feels like you are getting ready for bed, and you may get too comfortable in it too.

This helps to establish a routine, as doing this everyday will get you used to it and get yourself ready for work. It will also give you a sense of normalcy and control.

This also helps to save time, as since you are already dressed first thing in the morning, you do not need to panic and change if there is a last-minute video meeting.

If you have a meeting/interview, dress for the occasion! Change your top into something more formal like a blouse! This will show your employer/interviewer that you are professional and ready.

For ladies, you can put on some makeup to make yourself look more presentable. No need to be too dramatic! Just fill in your eyebrows and cover up your spots with concealer will do. Add lipstick for a pop of colour!

Wear jewelry like earrings or necklaces to spruce up your look! We recommend Forest Jewelry’s Black Beauty- An Onyx semi-precious gemstone pendant that is simple yet classy. Another piece is from our spring collection, Trillium- Delicate spring flowers stud earrings that add a pop of colour to your outfit!

For men, you can style your hair to make it look neater and fresher!

With work and home being in the same place, it may be hard to turn “on” and “off”. That is why dressing to the occasion will make it easier for you to differentiate between work time and relax time.

Hope these tips help! Stay safe and take care!
